I created this card for a card swap which took place the day before Remembrance Sunday. It's not just a card with flowers on it. I've put why I used what underneath the card and their meaning.
The green background and foliage represent the fields in which they fell.
The black band is what we wear in respect of the dead.
The pearls are for the tears we shed.
The bows are kisses, (I called the card Luv 'n' kisses)
The red and white roses together represent the wounded wearing bandages and last but not least the poppies for the blood that was shed.
